Magnet Programs

A magnet school provides your child with the opportunity to meet challenging state academic content standards through an innovative curriculum. This curriculum is rigorous and prepares students to develop practical solutions that affect their life and environment. Seven of our elementary buildings are magnet schools, which implement a thematic focus in addition to the regular KPS Board of Education approved curriculum.
